FDM Thermoplastic Materials

ABS ABS - (Acrylonitrile/butadiene/styrene)
Durable engineering grade plastic.
ABSi ABSi - (ABS with high impact strength)
  • Semi Translucent material
  • Ideal for automotive tail lens applications
  • Good blend of mechanical and aesthetic properties
  • Available in translucent natural, red and amber colors
ABS-M30

ABS-M30 (Acrylonitrile/butadiene/styrene)

  • 25-70 percent stronger than standard ABS material
  • Greater tensile, impact, and flexural strength
  • Layer bonding is significantly stronger for a more durable part
ABS-M30i

ABS-M30i (Acrylonitrile/butadiene/styrene)

  • Biocompatible (ISO 10993 certified) material
  • Ideal material for medical, pharmaceutical and food packaging industries
  • Sterilizable using gamma radiation or ethylene oxide (EtO) sterilization methods
PC (Polycarbonate)

PC (Polycarbonate)
Excellent durability, high performance plastic.

  • Most widely used industrial thermoplastic
  • Accurate, durable, and stable for strong parts
  • Superior mechanical properties and heat resistant
  • High tensile strength and can handle high temperatures
PC-ISO

PC-ISO (Polycarbonate-ISO)
Excellent durability, high performance plastic with medical applications.

  • Biocompatible (ISO 10993 certified) material
  • Ideal material for medical, pharmaceutical and food packaging industries
  • Sterilizable using gamma radiation or ethylene oxide (EtO) sterilization methods
  • Best fit for applications requiring higher strength and sterilization
PC/ABS

PC/ABS (Polycarbonate/ABS Blend)
PC-ABS is a blend of polycarbonate and ABS plastic. The superior durability of this blend combines the strength of PC with the flexibility of ABS.

  • Most desirable properties of both PC and ABS materials
  • Superior mechanical properties and heat resistance of PC
  • Excellent feature definition and surface appeal of ABS
  • Highest impact strength
Ultem

ULTEM
A high performance thermoplastic that is strong, lightweight and flame-retardant.

  • V-Ø rating for flame, smoke & toxicity (FST)

  • Full FST compliance including OSU heat release of less than 55/55, or 55 kw min/m2 for heat release and 55 kw/m2 for peak heat release.

  • High heat deflection temperature (320° F / 160° C)

  • High strength to weight ratio

  • Durable enough to handle some flexing

  • Flight & other certifications in aerospace industry

PPSF

PPSF (Polyphenylsulfone)
The highest durability of any FDM thermoplastic. This high performance material has superior impact strength, V-Zero flammability rating, and is resistant to chemicals, Acids and petroleum products.

  • Highest heat and chemical resistance of all FDM materials
  • Mechanically superior material, greatest strength
  • Sterilizable via steam autoclave, EtO, plasma, chemical, and radiation sterilization
  • Ideal for applications in caustic and high heat environments
